As part of our dedication to providing superior patient care, SNHIMA offers
multiple diagnostics within one conveniently located facility. These comprehensive
services assist in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries, and help our physicians
determine the best path of treatment. Our state-of-the-art technology improves
our ability to quickly and accurately determine a diverse range of patient
conditions.
SNHIMA's highly-trained technicians and board-certified radiologists are committed
to ensuring patients' comfort during procedures. In addition, every effort
is made to deliver test results in a timely and confidential manner.
The diagnostic services offered at our Derry,
NH facility include:
- Cardiology
Our cardiopulmonary diagnostics include an array of non-invasive procedures
including EKG, 24-Hour Holter Monitor, Stress Testing, and Echocardiography.
These screenings help our physicians identify and manage heart-related conditions.
- Laboratory
Our facility features a sophisticated, full-service laboratory on
the premises. Areas of testing include hematology, urinalysis, serology, histology,
and pathology.
- Mammography
The American Cancer Society recommends that women aged 40 or older
have a mammogram every year. Your personal medical history and current health
may require a variation of this timetable. Consult your physician to determine
a mammogram schedule appropriate for you.
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
MRI is an advanced diagnostic procedure that produces detailed images
of internal body structures without the use of X-rays or other forms of radiation.
Magnetic resonance images are created through the use of a powerful magnet,
radio waves, and a computer.
- CT Scans
Safe and painless, a CT (Computerized Tomography) Scan can be useful
in detecting the type and stage of various forms of cancer, infectious disease,
and musculoskeletal disorders.
- Ultrasound
Ultrasound imaging uses high-frequency sound waves to penetrate
the body. The returning "echoes" are processed by a computer to
create an image similar to sonar in a submarine. Ultrasounds allow physicians
to obtain important clinical data by providing extremely detailed images
in real-time.
- X-Ray
We utilize the most advanced medical imaging technology to effectively identify
patient bone injuries and disorders.
- Bone Density Scans
SNHIMA offers patients a commonly-used and highly accurate bone
density test, called a DEXA (Dual-Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry) scan. The
DEXA scan measures the bone density in a person's spine, hip, or entire body.
This procedure lasts about 15 minutes and is completely painless.
Southern New Hampshire Internal Medicine Associates welcomes new patients.
