We currently have a limited supply of vaccine which
we are offering to established patients who fall in any of the
first three priority groups. If you fall in one of these
categories, please call the office to arrange your vaccination.
As more vaccine becomes available, we will expand
the distribution as below. Remember that persons over 65
seem to have natural immunity to H1N1 and will be the last ones
vaccinated, (unlike the seasonal flu vaccine).
We will distribute vaccine according to the priority
criteria set by the NH State Dept of Public Health and the CDC:
FIRST PRIORITY
- Health care and emergency medical services personnel
- Persons under 24 with medical conditons associated with a
higher risk of influenza complications
- Asthma
or chronic lung disease
- Cardiac
or vascular disease
- Cardiac
or vascular disease
- Kidney
disease or dialysis
- Diabetes
- Alzheimer's
or cognitive disorders
- Neuromuscular
disorders
- Immunosuppressive
drugs or HIV
- Very
obese
SECOND PRIORITY AFTER ABOVE ARE VACCINATED:
- Household and caregiver contacts of children younger than
6 months of age (e.g. parents, siblings, and daycare providers)
- Persons
from 6 months through 24 years of age
THIRD PRIORITY AFTER ABOVE ARE VACCINATED:
- Persons aged 25 through 64 years who have medical conditions
(see above list)
FOURTH PRIORITY AFTER ABOVE ARE VACCINATED:
- All
persons 25 through 64 years of age.
LAST PRIORITY AFTER ABOVE ARE VACCINATED:
