Please join us in welcoming Katrina Allen, PA-C, to our team!
Katrina joins our office as part of our growing team, bringing valuable experience in urgent care and emergency medicine.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Sacred Heart University and later completed her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at Franklin Pierce University.
Katrina is passionate about helping families build lifelong healthy habits and believes healthcare should support physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. Her experience in acute care inspired her to transition into primary care pediatrics, where she can build lasting relationships with children and families while providing compassionate, comprehensive care. When asked what inspires her as a provider, Katrina shared:“Seeing patients grow confident in their own health inspires me to continue to provide good care and find new ways to help patients become the best versions of themselves. When a patient begins to feel well and takes charge of their own healthcare in a safe way, they begin to help others do the same. I feel this is the best way to help our community as a whole.”
One of Katrina’s favorite clinical memories came while working in urgent care, when a child arrived with symptoms that seemed subtle at first but ultimately led to the recognition of Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) and a new diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes. Thanks to quick intervention and teamwork, the child received lifesaving care. A few days later, when the child was discharged from the hospital, the whole family came back to thank Katrina and her team for recognizing the signs and saving his life. She shared, “I’m grateful for the team I worked with in that clinic and glad Mom brought him in that day!”
Outside of work, Katrina enjoys spending time on the lake with her husband and three children, running, and helping with her family’s greenhouse business. We are so excited for our patients and families to meet her — welcome, Katrina!
